  • Personal counseling during the loss and transition period for the candidate and partner.
  • Career assessment and testing, including skills and abilities analysis, job market research, and counseling on career direction.
  • Resume writing, editing, design, word-processing and copies. Cover letter writing and editing.
  • Development of a job-finding plan and use of Career Directions’ Job Finding Workbook, with structured assignments guiding each phase of the job search.
  • Interview training, with role-play practice sessions. Salary negotiation training.
  • Use of Career Directions state-of-the-art online resources, including: Online Career Center, an interactive career transition service; Career Search, a database of more than a million employers and organization profiles; Search Select, a directory of executive recruiters.
  • Personalized services may include: office support; direct contacts with prospective employers; financial planning and counseling; entrepreneurial business development, and life coaching.
  • Ongoing interview debriefing and strategizing, assistance on evaluating job offers, editing of follow-up letters, continuous motivational support, and close monitoring of the job search.
Group outplacement
Our senior staff provide an unusual degree of individual attention in our one- and two- day Job Finding Workshops, designed to give participants a quick start moving forward.
  • Topics include: managing the transition, career planning, resume and cover letter writing, interviews and salary negotiation, and other topics as requested.
  • A unique Individual Coaching Supplement further tailors and applies learnings from the group sessions for each participant.
  • Recent participants say: "I found the group setting very beneficial in going through this difficult time with others." "You did a great job in giving us confidence about the future."
Survivor counseling
  • Training and counseling to help continuing employees adapt to the changed environment and renew their confidence in the organization.
Retirement planning
